What is Americana - In a broad sense, Americana is anything that gives even a small taste of what it means to be an Anerican. It reflects what's particular to this country - interstate routes, steel guitars, a family's welcome and a town's gossip.

With regards to the genre that bears it's name, Americana is the swathe of music between Country and Adult Alternative. Some call it Roots, others call it Alt-Country or Newgrass.

It is often acoustic and always true-to-life and without presumption. It's a healthy mix of Hank Williams and Lucinda Williams. Americana is the legend of Willie Nelson, the fresh rootsy soul of Sam Beam and everything in between.

"The Revolution Collection - Americana" is the third in a series from Revolution featuring the work of independant artists. Future Revolution collections include Native American, Hispanic, Rock as well as Country, Jazz and more.
