The Rue Barbs
"Too Good To Let It Go" is the sexiest freight train you've ever heard. The beginning hook is Jim Almand's sweet, clean, seductively melodic guitar; then Jim's vocals hit, and you sink slightly deeper into your chair. As Jim spins his tale, things start to dawn on you. First it's the deep, slightly overdriven bassline, subordinate but indispensable, like a loyal friend supporting the guitar as it cries. Thomas Uhde's harmonica compels you subtly to comply with Jim's request to "sit down for awhile . . ." and by the time Randy Clark's understated mandolin licks join the party, there's nothing that'll stir you. Though the first jazzy, quick-paced bridge may illicit a smile, it won't be until Uhde's incredible harp solo that you budge from your chair and start dancing.
Jim Almand, singer and songwriter of The Rue Barbs, has five albums to his credit and extensive touring experience, hitting the road with Tom Rush, John Sebastian, and Leo Kottke to name a few. Tommy Blues toured with Blues Traveler and The Black Crows for three years, bringing his unparalleled harmonica technique to the masses. The mandolin style of Randy Clark rounds out the trio's sound, and Clark's skills in the studio unify the trio in the slick and toned sound established in "Too Good To Let It Go".

Revolution is sending the sounds of undiscovered artists echoing across the music landscape.
This is about the freedom to create and be heard - to expose people to music they don't even know they want to hear - to give them the chance to discover. By working with independently owned businesses, visual artists, musicians and KTAO 101.9FM, the worlds most powerful solar radio station, we are able to present original songs released by independent musicians the way they wanted, not how some big record company thinks they should sound. "The Revolution Collection - Blues" is the second in a series from Revolution.
